The 19th of October, 2012 witnessed the unveiling of the National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA). The NBQSA competition is a prestiges annual event organized by the British Computer Society in the aim of recognizing outstanding achievements made by individuals and organizations in Sri Lanka towards the development of ICT. This platform provides international recognition to local IT providers and thereby contributes towards the improvement in the standards of local ICT products and services.

In the Communications Category, Omobio (Pvt) Ltd bagged the Silver for its SMSbox – Enterprise SMS solution.

Omobio was also nominated to participate in the upcoming Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA), in Brunei Darussalam to showcase its award winning solution from the 3rd -5th of December which is an International Awards Program initiated to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the Digital Divide.

The SMSbox has extended the TEAM platform, by letting mobile users to send and receive SMSs from MS Office tools having same user experience like email. For example forwarding SMS in Outlook is done using the same forward button for email.
